RIDOC is recruiting candidates for their new class of Correctional Officers.
Those selected are presented with opportunities to gain insight into all departmental operations as it pertains to the security, administration, and our rehabilitative programs and goals.
The RIDOC Training Academy develops and implements a rigorous twelve (12) week comprehensive curriculum.
This program produces highly skilled, professional, and competent staff across the entire department.
To assure state-of-the-art training, the curriculum integrates paramilitary training and discipline along with other additional training programs.
From the start of training, Correctional Officer Candidates will receive an annual salary of $61,957.
Additionally, upon appointment, Officers receive an attractive benefits package, health, dental and vision, pension plan, college incentive pay and more.
